Some people deserve second chances.

No. Everybody deserves a second chance.

Yes

Keep in mind however it was not the 2nd or 3rd chance of going to rehab and doing some community service that turned him around…it was a judge who refused to give him another chance and sent him to jail…where he got constantly yelled at by other inmates in NA meeting who didn’t want to give him a 2nd chance but rather shamed him for having everything and throwing it away…a 2nd chance doesn’t necessarily mean forgiveness and mercy…it means allowing people to take the consequences for their actions and allowing them to atone and seek redemption for their actions.

Beautifully stated. Rehab won’t do anything for you. You have to make the commitment to quit. RDJ had to go through hell to get off those drugs. He is an inspiration.

I’m feeling really conflicted when it comes to sex, being a “born again” virgin is too showy and I don’t want to make that kind of commitment. I just don’t want to feel dirty, I don’t want to sneak around, and I don’t want to dissapoint mine or his parents.

A wise friend of mine once said, “You do you, boo boo.” Whatever you need to do to let you sleep at night!
